I am not dead yet

Surely you are not dead so you are bothering us with this post ? Are you wondering what I am talking about today early in the morning ?Well I have been doing some work on death ,immortality and life span extension. In India when you bow down to elders -you are seeking their blessings and they would say-deerghayushmanbhav (may you live long) or cheeranjeevibhava(may you live forever) etc so have you ever wondered if you can become immortal ? Do you remember the immortal great people mentioned in India?Today scientists are working on the longevity gene and the immortality gene so you would not need blessings of elders anymore !!!Mutation of a gene whimsically named "I'm not dead yet"(indy) can double the life span of fruit flies, a laboratory discovery that researchers said may lead to drugs to help people live longer.Researchers at the University of Connecticut Health Center have found that the life span of fruit flies was extended from an average of 37 days to 70 days when a gene was modified on a single chromosome. Some flies in the study lived 110 days.
